Taking on the B.E.S.T – Family Edition
Math Help That Actually Makes Sense
|
Welcome, families! Listen...I know you want your child to feel confident in math — not frustrated or left behind. Great news! You are totally in the right place. 😎
My name is Ms. McCarthy, and I love to make math fun, make it click, and make it stick through simple videos, step-by-step lessons, and fun practice that actually builds understanding. |
Why you (and your kiddo) will love this:
- ✅ Organized by units (not confusing benchmark codes like the teacher plans)
- ✅ Step-by-step video lessons
- ✅ Printable student guides
- ✅ On-demand access—anytime, anywhere
💬 “I just want to help my child with math… but I don’t know where to start.”
I hear this from parents all the time. That’s exactly why I created the Family Edition—to take the guesswork out of helping your child at home. Each grade (3–5) is organized by units, so you’ll always know what math skills your child is learning and how to support them. No searching the internet. No wondering if you’re teaching it “the right way.”
What’s Inside?
- 🎥 Engaging Video Lessons – I teach each concept step-by-step, just like I would in the classroom.
- 🖨️ Printable Student Guides – Hands-on practice that matches every video.
- ⭐️ Self-Paced Learning – Pause, rewind, and review as often as you need.
- 🚀 Confidence-Building Design – Short, fun, and clear—so kids feel proud, not pressured.
❤️ Why Families Love It
Parents love the peace of mind. Kids love the aha moments.
🙋♀️ Questions You Might Have
Is this aligned to what my child is learning in school?
Yes! Every video lesson is strategically aligned to Florida’s B.E.S.T. Standards—it’s just organized in a parent-friendly way. I was a Florida public school teacher for over a decade, so everything inside the Family Edition reflects what students are truly expected to learn in the classroom.
Do I have to teach the lessons myself?
Nope! I do the teaching in the video lessons. You simply print the student guide, watch along (if you'd like), and provide the encouragement. Of course, if you want to take it up a notch—pause the video, ask a few questions, or add your own support along the way—go for it!
Can we use it alongside tutoring?
Absolutely. Many families use this as ongoing support—or as a replacement for private tutoring.
What if my child is struggling or ahead?
You can move at your own pace. Rewatch lessons, skip ahead, or spend extra time where it’s needed most. And if you ever need help locating a lesson to match what your child is learning, feel free to reach out to me directly—I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
How is the "Family Edition" different from one of the Teacher Memberships?
Great question! The Family Edition is very similar to the Bronze Plan for teachers — the lessons and videos are the same. The main difference is organization. The Bronze Plan is arranged by math benchmarks (perfect for teachers), but that setup can feel confusing for parents. The Family Edition, on the other hand, is organized by units — so if your child is learning fractions, you can quickly find the fraction unit and skip the video lessons and jump right to the one that supports what they’re working on in school.
