How to Share Video Lessons with Your Students on Google Classroom or Canvas
If your district blocks Vimeo for student devices, you're not alone. Many schools limit access to video hosting platforms, making it tricky to share online lessons. Fortunately, there’s a super simple workaround that ensures your students can still view the Taking on the B.E.S.T math video lesson.

Step 1: Download the Video File
- Log into your McCarthy Math Academy membership portal.
- Navigate to the video lesson you want to share. Choose "click here to download this video."
- When the Vimeo site opens, look for the “Download” button beneath the video player.
- Click it — the video will begin downloading directly to your device.
Step 2: Locate the File on Your Computer
After downloading, you’ll need to find the video file so you can upload it elsewhere.

- On Windows: Open your "Downloads" folder or search by the filename.
- On Mac: Open Finder and check your "Downloads" folder.
- You may want to rename the file if needed so it’s easy to identify (e.g., “Lesson 2: Add and Subtract Fractions”).
Step 3: Upload to Your Learning Platform
Now it’s time to upload the video to whichever platform your students use.
